The Best Way to See Hawaii

When people think of Hawaii they automatically think of pineapples, palm trees, leis, and luaus. Hawaii has all of that and more! Each island is unique and offers something wonderful to see and experience. Your cruise aboard Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America will allow you to experience 4 beautiful Hawaiian ports in just 7 days and sail past Kilauea, an active volcano spewing lava into the ocean! You’ll even get an overnight in Maui and Kuai, possibly Hawaii’s most popular islands! No other cruise lines gives you so much time to explore these breathtaking islands. Here are some things you can experience on your Hawaiian islands cruise:

Oahu -Pearl Harbor is a must-see.  It’s a National Historic Landmark that memorializes the December 7, 1941 attack on the United States by the Japanese. Other must-sees include Waikiki Beach, the Halona Blowhole, and Diamond Head Crater, which is a National Natural Landmark, very popular to hike, providing amazing panaramic views of Honolulu. Or maybe you’d like to learn to surf... Be sure to visit the Polynesian Cultural Center on the North Shore.

Maui - Haleakala Crater is fascinating as an active, but not currently erupting volcano. Reaching the summit of this crater will give you spectacular views of Maui and allow you to look into the crater, which is 3,000 feet deep! You can also hike to beautiful waterfalls and swim in the waters fed by them. Explore Ka’eleku Cavern, a huge subterranean lava tube, or enjoy a traditional Hawaiian luau, Molokini for snorkeling, a tour of a pineapple farm, a walk on the black sand beaches, or some whale watching.  Don’t forget to travel the famous Road to Hana!

Hilo - Volcanoes National Park and Rainbow Falls are not to be missed! At Volcanoes National Park you’ll see steam, blowholes and active lava streams from two of the world’s most active volcanoes, Kilauea and Mauna Loa. The 80-foot Rainbow Falls is so named for the rainbow that appears in its mists most mornings.

Kona - Horseback ride or do some sport fishing while visiting beautiful Kona; it’s also a great place to see honu, Hawaiian green sea turtles. And of course, if you’re a coffee lover, you must visit one of the coffee plantations and sip a cup of 100% Kona coffee!

Kauai - Waimea, the Grand Canyon of the Pacific cannot be missed! Pair an excursion to Waimea with a trip down the Wailua River, and don’t miss Opaekaa Falls and Spouting Horn, a blowhole that shoots water high into the air, accompanied by a moaning sound.

You’ll find all these delightful things to do as well as dozens of other activities so be sure to check out our Hawaii shore excursions here: http://bit.ly/2ckF5lM.
